Chapter 99: Why Does This Place Sound So Familiar?

“Does Grandpa now even know the trivial matters of the company like the back of your hand?”

Joseph looked indifferent.

“What? I can’t know the company matter after the company is given to you?” Harrison’s face darkened,
“Hayden is doing well in the hotel but you arrange for her to go so far away to do such a difficult job.
You yourself also have a child. Why can’t you put yourself in her shoes?”

Noah nodded repeatedly beside Harrison.

Joseph glanced at him and still looked calm.

“The matter of sending Hayden to examine the market situation is not just my own decision. Everyone

relationship with her?”

After thinking carefully, Hayden was indeed not simple. She first made Noah obeyed her and became

“There are many other women who can become Noah’s mother, not necessarily must be Hayden. To

Joseph put down the chopsticks and wiped his mouth slowly and methodically. He said coldly, “I’m full, I
think Noah won’t want to go home with me tonight, so just stay here.”

Hayden coaxed Noah while shouting in the direction outside the house, “Mark, have you found out the
things that I’ve asked you to investigate?”

“Yes.”

Downey is sent to Lanxi Town, and the place she stays is called Maple Sugar Inn.”

“Lanxi Town?” Harrison frowned, “Why does this place…sound so familiar?”

“Does Joseph know about that place?”

At night, Hayden was lying on the bed in the inn room, staring at the pattern of the ceiling.

After that day, Hayden had ‘visited’ all the lodging and inn in Lanxi Town. After looking at so many of
them, she still felt that Maple Sugar Inn was the most unforgettable and it would let someone have the
intention to stay again.

Before leaving, the boss lady still did now show signs that she agreed. Hayden did not intend to
persuade anymore. She packed up and checked out of the room, preparing to go to Huaihe Town that
was 300 kilometres away to take a look.

After the car was driven out of the Lanxi Town for a while, on the remote village road, Hayden was
holding the steering wheel to adjust the navigation system. Out of the blue, a black figure stumbled at
the front. Hayden’s face blanched and she immediately slammed on the brakes.

Then, the brakes sound sounded on the road sharply. She broke out in a cold sweat and when she got
out of the car, her hands were shaking.

A figure was lying on the ground in front of the car and was already unconscious.

Hayden barely calmed herself and squatted beside to take a look. She could barely know that it was a
ragged man. He looked like a homeless as his entire body was dirty. At the moment, his head was
bleeding.

She called an ambulance on the spur of the moment.

“Hello? Ambulance?”



“…”

“About three kilometres from Lanxi Town on the state road, there is a car accident, come quickly.”

“Mr. Beckham, the documents of the expedition in Lanxi Town are all here. Ms. Downey has done the
categorization and she has asked me to send it over.” Hayden’s assistant, Jeff, held a pile of
documents, stood in front of Joseph’s desk with an apprehensive look and was unable to speak
properly.

asked me to send the documents here first.”

“Car accident? Has she injured?”

“Ms...Ms. Downey is fine. Ms. Downey has hit someone and that person is still receiving treatment in
the hospital of the town. So, Ms. Downey calls me to go over to take the documents first.”

Joseph heaved a sigh of relief but his face still looked very sullen.

“Which hospital?”



“Huh?” Jeff did not know what did it mean and froze for a moment. Seeing Joseph’s ice-cold face, he
immediately shivered and hurriedly uttered the name and address of the hospital.

“Mr. Beckham, are you going to the hospital?” Jeff cautiously asked.

him to pack his things and leave the company.

“Alright, you can leave now.”

Joseph impatiently waved his hand to let Jeff leave, leaving himself alone in the room. He was tingling
with anxiety.

She had encountered a car accident. Was it possible that she would totally be fine?

His mind was a bit puzzled.

“Mr. Beckham, there is a document here that needs to be…”

Ten minutes later, Magnus knocked on the door and came in. Joseph was no longer in the
