Chapter 344 He Is My Son

Rebekah got her mind back and wiped away her tears. She asked in a low voice, “Who is there?”

No one answered.

Rebekah was stunned. She asked again, “Who?”

It was one thirty in the morning. Customers would ask the reception for help should they needed
anything. Once the reception couldn’t make the decision, they would come to find her. However, the
person outside now did not answer her.

Just as she thought she might hear wrong, the person outside knocked at the door again.

“Who is that?” Rebekah stood up and walked to the door.

Different people came to live in the inn, so every room here had a peephole. Rebekah looked outside
through the peephole, but she found no one.

She was confused, but suddenly, a black shadow covered the peephole. Rebekah was scared and
couldn’t help staggering back.

The person outside knocked at the door again.

A piece of paper slipped in through the door slot.

Rebekah hurriedly picked up the paper and checked it.

There were words on the paper, “Rebekah, where is our son? Is he OK?”

Rebekah’s face suddenly turned pale. She even couldn’t get her mind back. She felt her legs fragile
and thus she fell down on the ground.



The knock at the door had also awoken Benjamin. Benjamin always had the light sleep, so he got up
even though he had heard the very low voice. He felt uneasy as he heard the knock, so he came out
and checked.

There was no one in the corridor.

The reception staff were deeply asleep now, the door was closed, and the wind bells were also quiet. It
seemed there was no one.

Benjamin hesitated for a second, and still went to the door of his mother’s room. He knocked at the
door.

“Mom? Are you sleeping?”

There was silence inside. Soon it was Rebekah’s voice. Her voice was low and strange, “It’s late.
What’s the matter?”

“Well, nothing important.” Benjamin breathed a sigh of relief, “I heard someone knock at the door just
now and no one answered. Did you hear that?”

“Oh? I didn’t hear that. You must hear wrong.”

“Really? Then I’m gonna go back. Good night mom.”

“Good night.”

The sounds of Benjamin’s footsteps faded.

In Rebekah’s room, Rebekah stood by the door, and on the sofa next to the window, about two meters
away from her, a man in his fifties was sitting. He smiled coldly.



“What are you afraid of? I’ve met him before. It must be a tough life for you to raise our son alone all
these years. Why don’t you come to find me?”

“Shut up.”

Rebekah stopped the man with a cold voice. She then lowered her voice in case of being heard by
others, “Zed, listen carefully. Benjamin is not your son, and our life also has nothing to do with you.”

“Oh?” Zed frowned. Then his face turned sinister, “That’s right. He is kind of younger than my son
should be. So, that young man in the Beckham family is my son, right?”

“What are you talking about?”

Rebekah gritted her teeth, “My son has nothing to do with you. Why did you come back from abroad?
Why did you come here to find me?”

“You’re just as bad-tempered as always.”

The man sighed with regret, “You shouldn’t talk so straightly. We should greet each other first. That will
damage our relationships.”

“Relationships? What are the relationships between us? You wanted to be with me just because you
wanted Beckham’s property. You lied to me, and have lied for years. You bastard.”

“I don’t think so. After all I let you find Henry’s deep love to you. You always want such romantic love,
don’t you? The love deep enough to have someone to die for you. I didn’t do that, but I inspired another
man, right?”

“Bastard!”



Talking about the history, Rebekah’s face turned sullen and her body was trembling, “You planned that!
Even Henry’s death was your plan. How dare you come back again?”

“Why can’t I come back?” Zed snorted, “It’s twenty years after the case, long enough to make me free
from the litigation period. You also don’t dare to tell the police.”

“How do you know I don’t dare?”

“So go tell the police! You’d better let everyone know the truth. Let them know the noble young master
of the Beckham family actually doesn’t have Beckham’s blood. Let all of them know he’s my son...”

Before Rebekah stopped him, the door was pushed open. With the spare key, Benjamin strode in and
shouted at the man sitting on the sofa.

“Speak what you said again!”

Rebekah was nervous. She even forgot that her son was extremely vigilant. Her voice and words
before didn’t successfully make him believe.

He must have heard all the arguments between her and Zed.

Zed stood up and smiled arrogantly, “Good at tapping, huh? Didn’t you hear that? I think I have no
need to speak again.”

“Shut up!”

Rebekah was furious now. She just wanted Zed to get out of here. She cried with anger, “Get out of
here! Or I’m gonna call the police!”

“Police?”



Zed took a deep breath, and then snorted, “I don’t think you’re brave enough to call the police. You
even left the Beckham family with this little bastard, to protect Beckham’s fame from being profaned.
You will never call the police.”

However, Benjamin feared nothing, “I am not my mother. I don’t care about Beckham’s fame. Who are
you and what do you want? Do you think there is no police in this town?”

Then Benjamin took out his mobile phone and wanted to call the police.

However, Rebekah hurriedly stopped him.

“Mom?”

“You can’t!” Rebekah snatched his phone. She took a deep breath and tried to calm herself down. She
then looked at Zed, “Speak, what do you want?”

Hearing this, Zed grinned maliciously, “You should have said this earlier. Do you really think I’m here to
talk about history with you?”

How could Benjamin endure this? He wanted to rush to Zed, but was stopped by his mother. His

this inn. I’m not one of Beckham.”

“Twenty million.”

week.”

“Are you crazy?”



Rebekah stared at this man. She wanted to cut this bastard into pieces, “I can’t get so much money for
you.”

“I don’t care.”

Zed lighted a cigarette. He sneered, “I’m gonna go to the Beckham family and ask my son for money.
I’m his father, so I deserve his piety.”
